Chaos and the Anchor

The chaos that is growing in our world today has invaded many arenas; politics, financial markets, religion, and gender definitions for example. This chaos can easily envelop our mind, will, and emotions as well.

Hope is the anchor of the soul (Hebrews 6:19 KJV). Also, Psalms 91 is very pertinent to the times we live in. We have the option of anchoring all things in Yeshua that they will hold fast, our finances, our well-being, our families, our very identities can be anchored. We cannot be swayed with every news alert and drop in the stock market.

So let’s anchor down and enjoy the ride!

It's all Greek to me and it should be Hebrew!

It’s all Greek to me and it should be Hebrew!

The name Jesus, could any name be more important? Why then do we still use the name Jesus when we have the pure Y’shua, (Yeshauh, Yeshua) the Hebrew name spoken by the disciples and His mother Mary? When the Old Testament said, “God is Salvation” it was “Yahweh is Yeshuah” in Hebrew.

In the Strong’s concordance Jesus #2424 is Iesous word origin in Hebrew is 03091(Yeshuwa- Salvation Strong’s # 03444 mentioned 77 times in Old Testament is just one variation of the name Salvation-Yeshuah.) Genesis 49:18 in the KJV: I have waited for thy salvation, O Lord. I have waited for Your Yeshuah, O Yahweh. Isn’t that a perfect truth? How can the Jewish people find Messiah in Jesus? But Yeshuah, there is meaning there! Jesus is not even close to the Greek word Iesous (ee-ay-sooce -phonetic pronunciation).

How did the Greek Iesous get turned into Jesus? Google it! I liked the Arabic English New Testament by Netzari Press commentary on page 1055.

On the same note we use Jehovah, there is no “j” in Hebrew, it’s a “y” - Yehovah.

So let us talk about the Greeks, they contributed wonderful things to the world, literature, and architecture for example. But the influence of Stoicism to Christianity has had its impact on our thinking and mindset. Taking the emotional element out of the Bible and our Christian walk leave us with dead religion, YUCK!

Many churches and speakers are now using Yeshua over Jesus, it is my hope we all take the pure Hebrew names and loose the Greek! We love you Greece, but my God is Hebrew . . .

Next time I will step on the toes of the use of many who use cross over execution stake, I know you can’t wait!

The Two Legged Stool

As promised here is my blog called “The two legged stool”.

Have you ever noticed a public prayer where the person prays to Jesus, in the name of Jesus? This leaves the Father out completely. It is my comparison to a two legged stool. The acknowledgement of the Holy Spirit and Jesus is common in public prayers, but how often is the Father left out?

If you went to the courts of heaven and saw the two thrones, it would be clear that you should address both and not ignore the other. Proper protocol is respectful and all things should be done intentionally and not sloppy. What is my point? Jesus came to earth as a man to reveal the Father and declare the Kingdom of Elohim.

John 16:23-24

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Jesus loves the Father and only does what he sees the Father do. It grieves Him if we leave the Father out of minds and hearts.

John 5:19-23

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

It may be that here in the West we have an orphan spirit and are disconnected with our fathers, both earthly and heavenly.

So in conclusion I would like to propose we purposely plan to pray to the Father in the name of Son, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide our words. Now that’s a three legged stool you can, stand, rest or to up higher on. . .

Next time a blog called, “Its all Greek to me and it should be Hebrew!”

The cruel legalist and the sleeping giant

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

As the Ten Commandments were ordered to be removed from the Oklahoma capital we wonder; how did we get here? Lets look back and from the outside at two forces, the cruel legalists and the sleeping giant. The first, cruel legalists, is a tag I put on the religious spirited Christian that beat others down and offered condemnation not the good news.

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness, Matthew 23:23-27. KJV

I am saying that the religious hypocrites of the past and present helped build a distain toward the Bible and Christianity. Jesus, Yeshuah, did not die to bring religion, but a relationship. If you have been a victim of a religious spirit you may still carry the wounds from it. Now here is some of the good news Yeshuah spoke of while on the earth:

And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:1-15. KJV

The remedy? Repent for our ancestors who beat down others and defend the needy and broken.

And who is the sleeping giant you ask? The passive Church sitting waiting to be raptured, taking no active roll in the society around her. We let laws pass without speaking up; we let media loose all morals and decency. If the salt has lost its savor….

The fix: arise from the dust of your prostration :

Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

For thus saith the Lord, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money. Isaiah 52:1-3

And while we are at it, lets stop saying Israel has been replaced by the church. We are grafted in and should be grateful!

Conclusion - let us walk in the Spirit and fulfill the lusts of the flesh and above all walk in love. Study Yeshuah in the New Testament and do what he did.
